I am in the process of installing and wiring an FZ-1 Fuzeblock. With its internal relay, do I still need to install a separate relay if I install auxiliary lights, or heated grips? I understand the switched and unswitched part of the equation (as well as the FZ-1's limit on amperage), but the relay still confuses my electrically-challenged melon. I had a Blue-Sea fuseblock installed on my ST1300, so am familiar with the basic stuff.

You should not need an additional relay unless you exceed the 30A. A simple on/off switch in the circuit between the block and the lights is nice so they're not always on.

I don't have a light set selected yet, but yes, I will include an on/off switch for them (as well as the heated grips). Immediate plans are to wire my Powerlet outlet and heated grips thru the Fuzeblock. Lights will come later.

Like gaps said... With lights no if under 30Amp draw. With accessory horn... I did I used the stock horn wires to close the relay that then allows power coming through the FZ1 to power the horn!
Works for me!
