Front tire to go with TKC70 rear

Hi,

I'm apoligizing if this is a question already covered somewhere on the 24 pages in the tyre section, and which I didn't find while browsing or searching.

I replaced the rear tire last season from imo a rubbish anakee 3 to TKC70. This coming season I need to replace my front tire which now is a pretty worn down anakee2 and I've been happy with.

I first thought I'd try the TKC70 front tyre, but after all the reviews I've read I'm starting to have second thoughts (I'm happy for people proving the reviews false ;) ). I'm currently considering: TKC70, Mitas e-07 dakar and a new anakee2. Any good advice?

Qualifications I do go by is how the tyre is fairing on wet tarmac and cold tarmac (I live in Norway, so pretty important) and it has to be capable on gravel and the occasional trail. I find the TKC70 rear lives up to those qualifications by good measure.

I would rule out the TKC70, and go with either E-07 or Anakee II.
E-07 if you drive much on gravel, and Anakee II if you don't

I'd agree.. I have Anakee 2's on my S10... It's pretty wet and cold here (Not as bad as Norway but..) The Anakkes are a very good wet cold condition tyre..

Anything more then the either the Mitas E07's or anther excellent tyre (Which I have on my Tiger 800) is the K60 Scouts.. Awesome in the wet and gravely roads...

But I'd probably change front and rear to the same make and tread pattern..

First picture shows my Tiger shod with K60 Scouts..

The last picture gives a comparison in tread pattern between the Ankee2, Mitas E07

When I was looking at tires, the TKC70's were really interesting. But with most of the reviews, especially on the front tire being bad, I ruled them out. Seems the heavier bikes like the S10 they cup very quickly on the front. I have been running the E-07's, and been very happy with them. I know a lot of people are happy with the K60's, but when I had them, I just did not like the wet performance and squaring off of the rear.

I'm running the tkc70 rear, they've performed excellent the 7k or so i've ridden them, lots left too.
Very good performance on road (wet/dry, hot/cold) and can't complain on gravel ;)

The anakee 2 in front performs ok as well, so prob gonna stick with those again. Unless price is hugely different.
