Front Guard - Does it exist

Been search and searching. Heading up the Dalton this June. Keep thinking I'd like to have some sort of guard across the front, just under my headlights. It just looks like a "catch", and I'd want to protect it. Am I overthinking this? I mounted some dual horns under there to replace the stock "Meep Meep"...what else is under there to protect from rocks & gravel? The front shocks would not likely appreciate taking a large rock at 50mph. Your thoughts? Your designer for some sort of a screen guard?

Looks to me like yours is missing. I replaced my horn with a Mazda MX5 Low Tone horn. Its a common fix and cheap. Plenty loud enough.

Yep there's a wee bit of plastic missing above those horns. You got a headlight guard and shock socks so you're good to go I reckon. That area up there is pretty well protected, my gripe is all the crud gets thrown onto the front of the motor/ headers by the front wheel but I'm not putting a fender extender on for well documented reasons.

You could put a Puig Duck Bill on there. Other than that don't worry about it. I would put the tall Shock SOX's on and that would cover the upper forks and save your fork seals. I have the T-Rex Racing belly pan and I really like how it covers up your headers and front of the engine. Also if you have a fenda extender it won't hook on the belly pan. I just saw a fender broken last week because it caught on the pan that didn't go up the front of the engine.

I would be more worried about how you mounted your horns. Looks to me like the first time those forks get anywhere near the bottom of their stroke, the fender is going to bash into your horns.
That was my first thought when I saw this.
See the attached picture that has been edited. A green line was added to show about where the top of the fender would be if the forks were completely compressed / bottomed out.

Your absolutely correct with that been there and found d out, I fitted a denali soundbomb and mounted it to the bottom of my crash bars, laid the bike on its side to check it would survive going over and all good, I'd move them horns before worrying about anything else.

Been there done that. My wolo horn was mounted where it would hit the brake cross over line under compression and push the back of the fender into the tire. My second fender lost a small chuck before I figured it out. The horn lost part of its bell so it ended up fitting here with clearance from all moving parts.

You might need to remove some of the horn plastic to get it smaller. You probably won't notice any difference in the sound.
