Front Fork Preload

When adjusting the nut for the front fork preload from the stock settings, do you just adjust each side to one of the predetermined lines (say line 3) by eyeballing it, or do you turn the nut all the way in or out, and count the rotations so each side is exact?

I count the rotations.
Eyeballing it is fine too, being 1 turn out isn't going to make a big enough difference to notice.

I count the lines but I agree that I doesn't matter.
