After having ridden the RT, ST13, FJR and Tenere, I can say that the Tenere would be my choice. FJR has all that power, but it has heavy slow speed handling. The RT? Was great until it shit the bed. Over, and over, and over, and . . . . The Honda worked very well. Cancelling that bike was the dumbest thing they could have done. So many departments were switching from Beemer to the Honda.

Doh!! I can't believe I didn't catch that or the fact that there are not any LE lights on it.

I'm guessin' that their bikes are used for Special Response v. traffic stops. (the guy in the above picture had an odd patch, so . . . .) Over here, before we can charge someone with evading, we have to prove that they knew it was the cops chasing them and not a "bad guy". They obviously play by different rules. And I like 'em. :cool:

Gendarmerie dress in blue so guessed he was not a typical one of those. A little Googling resulted in finding him to be National Police, where he’d be in big cities, riot control, actual crime work, etc.
