Gents--

I came just one test ride away from picking up one of these bikes, but since I'm not going in this direction anymore, I wanted to pass the information on to the members of the forum. Maybe someone here will be interested.

I found three brand new 2015 Candy Red S-10 ES's. One is on the floor with about 74 miles on it, and two are still in crates not even assembled.

The price is $13,200 OUT THE DOOR, except for tax, title, tags (depending on where you live, of course).

They are at Sehorn Yamaha in Shawnee, OK. You'll want to talk to Brad (GREAT guy, btw). I had planned to do a "fly and ride", and he offered to pick me up at the airport as long as I arrived on a Wednesday.

The phone number is (405) 275-6606.

Go get 'em!

R.

Good info and certainly a good price. I have friends that live near there, although I have never been to the dealership.

Also looking at their webpage, they have a new 2013 ST for $8999. That is a much better price than what I was quoted locally.

That is a great price gentlemen. I paid substantially higher when I bought my 2014ES in California a year and half ago. Anybody looking to get an awesome brand new bike should hop all over this. Figure maybe a few grand more on top of the 13k with tax, title, and transfer fees. ::022::

I called Brad yesterday after a deal I was making on one locally didn't quite work out. I'm now heading north to OKC this Saturday to pick up a shinny new red 2015 ES!

I took my 2012 Super T the Alaska back in the summer of 2012 and loved it! I don't have any concrete plans of going back just yet, but I'm laying the ground work at home for a return trip here in a few summers!

PCP Motorsports has one on the floor for $13,090 (before any other fees). I am going to guess if you have a wad of cash things could be less expensive.

Nice, $13.2k otd for a new ES is a great price and those new Red ones sure look good. Plenty-of-fun for the $. Congratulations. I shipped a smaller bike once from Indianappolis to CA via FedEx LTL on a crate for $369 once to snag a deal like that. Good for you!

Can't do that anymore! I was looking into buying an out of state '15 but CA won't register it until after 7,500 miles ::010:: Would like to buy one of those Red ones.

I've purchased my last 2 bikes from Sehorn's. Great guys, great prices. About 100 miles from my house. Would have no hesitation about doing a fly n ride with them if I were out of state.

Sounds like a good reason for a fly and ride - extended!

I've done it more than a few times with cars and motorbikes. The gap when buying a used bike under 7,500 miles it can be challenged by CA-DMV when it does not have the 50-state CA emissions tag on it, as it's right in the DMV code book. Many of the dual sports have this 50-state sticker now days, however on some of the large street bikes the problem is some to many of the out-of-state dealers do not pay for the 50-state California equipped bikes, but more are starting to come with 50-state emissions now days. It's all in how they ordered the bikes. Check each bike, state, and dealer situation. Some of the surrounding states around CA may order it as such as a secondary measure to selling bikes but you do have to inquire. Have done this with euro bikes, no issue, Husky, Beta, others, when they have the 50-state emissions sticker. This is what CA-DMV cares about. Depends on your state though.

Wouldn't work unless you have another private party in the middle. CA DMV is wise to this now and they require the bike at the time of purchase to have 7500 miles or more on it...or it gets flagged and will never be allowed into CA. The easiest way to skirt this in a pinch if you're close to the limit is to switch the odo to KM's...most of the peeps in the DMV don't realize the difference. Another way around this is to simply use the South Dakota method... ;)

Might see you at WeSTOC this year, Jeff, on a '14ES that I'm planning to fly and ride back. =)

Dmulk speaks the truth... 7,500 miles at the time of purchase. I'm sure there are creative ways around this but it wouldn't be worth the effort on my part.
