The under side pics give evidence of how well this skid plate protected my precious bits in Colorado. I have (finally) dropped the coin on a Jaxon special, so no longer need this one. Should be ready next week. Can't wait! ::012::

If you look at the pic of the back cross member, you will notice that it is less than straight. The back of the skid plate itself mirrors this bend. But it doesn't touch the underside of the bike and did not "spring" much when removed. All the welds are solid with no cracks. Thus, I am confident it will fit up just fine. It may take a bit of persuasion, but I understand that is not uncommon with this skid plate after some off-roading.

Asking $75 shipped CONUS. Includes color installation instructions and all the needed hardware. PM me if interested. Will accept Paypal, check, Krugerrand, whatever.

Thanks! Be sure to pack it carefully. I don't want any scratches on it. ;)

Hey mine looked the same after Colorado also! Sand it down, paint it up and it will look like new. Well almost!

Coastie, thought of doing that, but opted for one of Jaxon's beasts. Should get it next week. Had it powder coated gunmetal grey along with my crash bars and pannier racks. Should look pretty good.

That was a good deal for a fella inmate Merchant!

I woulda hung that on a wall in the garage with "Imogene Pass - 0, Merchant - 1" What a story that skidplate has to go along with it... :D

I might replace my skid plate or modify it over winter . It took a few hard hits on the CBDR the welds where split and both front mounting brackets needed welding and the exhaust had a small dint.

Limey I've hammered my altrider plate out a few different times but if mine looked like yours I would up grade to something stronger. You definitely put that plate thur the ringer.

I think these pics show just how difficult it is to really protect this big pig from actual off road riding! I nailed something last week with my Rumbux and have a fine gouge/scratch down one of the rails. These are BIG bikes and when they hit bottom, they hit HARD! Can you imagine if these pics were of a sump mounted crash plate?
