Fog Light Switch

I purchased fog lights and the switch is water resistant. Is there enough difference between it and a waterproof switch to swap it? Are most switches just water resistant anyway?

Most are water resistant. If it's not going to be submerged, you're good. If you're really concerned about where the wires connect, a little silicone RTV smeared around the connection will make it largely waterproof.
