Flipped my grab handles down so I could use them as soft bag supports. Left handle mounts on right side no problem, but on the left side muffler gets in the way so longer bolts and some spacers are needed. I used 100mm and 110mm bolts with some copper tubing for spacers until I can find stronger spacers. Removed rear seat and lowered rear rack to use as a dry bag holder. [/URL]

Looks good. I tried that on mine before I went with the hard cases. If I remember I reversed the left and right to make it fit over the muffler.

Yours looks much better that way. ::012::

Necessity is the mother of invention adaptation.

Perhaps KLR'd should be a verb in the Urban dictionary.

Good thinking outside the rectangular container.

In the early days before the Jesse's, I ran the left soft bag right down on the muffler cover, nothing ever melted. They (being Yamaha) might turn a buck if they made this an option from the get-go. I too thought it worked pretty slick. ::008::

Good idea, but from the title I thought you were cussin' them. My curiosity was why the heck someone would be cussing out the grab handles...
