Anyone with experience of the flex handlebars ? Considering buying some from "offtheroad" in Germany (they call them "nonshock endurance handlebars though, but it´s the same thing I think) but first I´d really like to here some comments from someone who`s used them. I think they look like a good solution for me as you get rid of vibrations and at the same time get more straight rakeangle. ::26::

I don't know about Germany, but in the good 'ol USA you can buy a 2014 clutch basket and a pair of 1-1/8" aluminum bars with just about any height and sweep you may want for just a wee bit more than what Flexx bars cost. The bars you want, may squelch your vibes a little, but not like a 2014 basket replacement.

There are one or two here that have the bars. A very small slice, but they seem to like them.

I guess if I was going to spend that much money I would make sure they flexed in all directions.
I wonder how much those flex. Like the anti vibe rox risers that flex in all directions, it feels like you're controlling your bike through a pool floaty.

The nice thing about the flexx bars is the inserts seem to reduce "coarse" vibrations, yet you can control the vertical flex through the different stiffness of elastomer inserts that come with it.

Spendy indeed though

I've had those bars on my S10 for a couple of years. They're very robust and plenty stiff. I don't notice any "flex" even off road. Because of the design, there isn't much space for adding anything like a RAM mount anywhere on the bars. And you'll need to grind off the locating nubs on your Yamaha hardware since these bars don't have any locating holes. Not an issue...I just put some friction tape under the controls and they have stayed rock solid. I put on the Yamaha heated grips, and don't experience any temperature difference between the two grips, perhaps because the bar ends are a bit more solid.

I do think they make a modest improvement in vibes and the angle works for me. All in all, I like them.

Spider, Which are "those" bars? I had proposed a carbon bar in place of the Flex bars.

There are 3 different stiffnesses, and the carbon construction has damping as a material property. I imagine that it isn't something that you would notice all that much, but I would like to try them. Maybe I will contact them and see if they need someone to do a review for street purposes. I bet they would sell more if people knew that this wasn't an issue.
