With sadness I post this. Robert joined the forum and participated for a short time. I PM Robert several times and offered to meet him so he could try my flashed 12 model. Robert was a true enthusiast he had ridden since being a teenager. He has 5 bikes in his stable and when he met me on a Sunday afternoon to swap bikes. He showed up on a DR650. Smart man to not let me ride his FZ1 or his Super Duke. We rode about 25 miles to our family cemetery and chatted about our past bikes and trips and such. We swapped bikes for the rest of the ride and I got the feeling the Tenere didn't tick his box but with his stable of bikes I can understand. Robert was on his FJR with some of his buddies, he lived a short piece from the Natchez Trace and probably knew it as well as any road. All I know is what is in this paper article. Robert told me he was divorced and I can't remember if he had kids if he did they were grown.

Be careful friends we ride a thin line sometimes.

He truly enjoyed riding, loved the FJR and we chatted at one of the FJR events. What a shock!
