Picked up my bike Friday afternoon. I had planned to take the long way home but I was already tired from a long workday so I just went and put a couple miles on it and called it a day.

Started to put some farkles on.

But of course some friends stopped by to look it over.

In the morning I called my oldest son and said "lets go for a ride"!
He showed up and ................

Off we go!

Headed for Palomar Mountain, stopped at the approach to West Grade to take this pic.

Rest brake at the top.

And a couple of pics on South Grade.

Put on a buck and a quarter miles. This bike is awesome! Handled all conditions without any hint of nervousness but felt a bit on the stiff side. Started with all suspension settings at standard. Going to try softening the front compression a bit. Took some tools and made minor adjustments to shifter, brake pedal, and handlebars and got those dialed in.
Only negative was the helmet buffeting with the windscreen in the high position on the freeway. I was wearing an Arai XD and the beak was vibrating really bad. I try the lower position tomorrow and a different helmet when I take my wife on our first two up ride.

Did I say this bike is awesome!

Congrats fellow Socal owner. I got mine yesterday too. I did Sunrise Hwy and Laguna Mt area this morning. The bike is great.
I highly recommend Waspworks screen adjuster. I put mine on at about 5:00 this morning before I left. Much improved.

I'm so envious. Congratulations on your newly acquired toy.

I'm getting more disappointed as the day goes on that I don't have my bike yet. I'm located in San Diego county as well, but my dealer hasn't gotten any of their bikes yet. I guess another couple of days won't make much difference since it has already been 11 months.

I hope you guys have fun this weekend.

Wasps windshield brackets takes away the buffeting and provides smooth airflow.
