Sealed the deal and brought a 2012 blue one home last night. Very nice. Snuck it into the garage and the "fun police" didn't seem to be too upset when she went out garage saling in the morning!
Got to catch up on the miles that many of you have logged. Also, it's farkle time! ::014::
Appreciate the information I received from this form in helping me make my decision. Thanks to all! Would type more, but I have to go ride and break this sucker in.

"Here's to future memories!"

Congrats and welcome. Is that a Yamaha 350 in your avitar? That was my first bike at the ripe old age of 14.
Glad you made the team. I'm still on the bench but should be there in a couple of weeks. I'm with Snuffy trying to figure out your avitar. Unless it has been painted I don't believe it is an RD. I don't recall the Suzuki models during that time and the heads don't look right (73 to 75???) but I'm guessing that is what it is.

Congratz! I'm certain you chose the right color and I hope you enjoy your bike as much as I do mine. Be sure and find a way to get doubled up for an occasional cheescake run with your better half. Things go better :)

Yes, my avatar is an 1975 RD350 - my college bike (Used. I am old, but not that old). Amazing bike and made me a Yammie fan. ::022::It was up in Canada when I lived there so the color scheme may be different than what was offered stateside (I am learning that Americans and Canadians get different stuff - for some reason).

Attached is a pic of the new ride alongside my trusty bitch for those who are asking (... to see the bike!).

Congratulations.

Ours only have Km for the speedometer, ::) , in USA they come with both Km and miles. They/we must do it that way for the Americans not to come here and purchase the S10s for $16,500 +++. ;) I also believe that if they didn't sale there we wouldn't see them here, why the differences?
I know, this is ::002:: . Congrats again :)

Well, I don't own the RD anymore (unfortunately). That is an old picture that I digitized in a moment of nostalgia.
I do own this CanAm Qualifier 175. It is at my "cottage" ("cabin" in the US) in the Ottawa Valley. A classic. Wish Bombardier would make bikes again instead of those snowmobiles on wheels.

The trick is to be "Bi"! I grew up in Canada and moved here in '89 and became a dual citizen (Bi-National). My boys were born here, but we got them their Canadian citizenship. So, I feel that I can trash or cheer both counties. Good and bad to both. Don't bring up the "beer-thing" Canuckleheads. The mircobrewery craze - especially in the Pacific Northwest- produces some of the finest and most interesting beers in the world. Way better than Labatts, Molson, Keiths,etc. Sorry.

Anyway, back to praising the ST. Took my "virgin" bike for another short ride tonight, broke 200 miles. Wow. Love it. Can't wait to farkle. That is in the plans. Anyone who is sitting on the fence: don't! This has to be one of the most coolest machines on the planet. Also, I am convinced that this ride was designed for "Cascadia" (AK, BC, WA, & OR - maybe Northern California, if they beg). Although, Scandanavia looks pretty cool! Scotland was great. Need to do Africa ... the world's the limit with this sucker!

Haven't taken the wife on it yet. She better find the pillion position okay!
