Hello Fellow Yammie Tenere Lovers,

I was there, at the 2010 Tokyo Motor show, when Yamaha released the production version of the S10:

In July of that year I visited the Yamaha Communication Plaza, Main HQ and Museum:

I finally pulled the trigger today and snagged a 2013, from GForce Yamaha in West Denver, Colorado. Was in and out in 2 hours and some change and I hadn't been in there in many years. There is a great Yammie Dealer in Denver, I was beginning to give up on that... GForce did me right.

Rode it home 30+ miles this afternoon and had to jump on some conference calls.

After those, I ran out to the garage and started de-DOTing the bike. Removed front and rear reflectors and all the lawyer stickers.

Let the farkling begin!!!

Oh, I've been lurking here and I'm impressed with the community here. The knowledge, the efficiency of ideas, the reference points, all world class! Thank you for letting me stand on your shoulders and learn so quickly about this motorcycle!

Cheers!

Thanks guys!

Live at the border of Aurora and Parker and Centennial, CO.

Spring is here! It was 15F last weekend... I tried to do a deal then at a different Yammie dealer that had 4 - 2012 S10s and the best I could do was $14K out the door. I was willing to do $13K out the door on a black one. They wouldn't budge, so I walked and told them to call me if they want to sell. They never called.

Then I noticed another dealer had a white one in stock and the more I looked at that color, the more I was willing to pay. :)

Greetings from North Texas! Thanks for the pics, especially of the Yamaha museum. I could get lost in there for hours.

Awesome choice in color John!!! Love the white!! That was almost going to be my first choice before I painted it Yellow. Wow, what an awesome thing to have been to the Yamaha facilities and see the old bikes there on display. I would want to do that in Japan for Honda as well. Welcome to the wonderful madness we all have found!!!

Welcome on, R_J. My new grey 2013 is in my garage as of Wednesday. Still can't get out of my driveway, but this time next week there will be a big change. We'll see. Anyway, ::004:: to the Forum. R. ::022::

I just rode 100 miles and tried out sport mode. The 5th gear 75-100mph roll on is impressive! I thought by getting rid of my VFR the days speeding tickets were over. This bike's at speed acceleration is ridiculous for such a big bike, almost like S mode means "Supercharged". Thank you Yamaha for bringing this "Best in Class" machine to the USA!

Here's some pics of it at Lookout Mountain. Had to wait 15 min for the Paramedics to finish loading a longboarder that wiped out...
