Sold my 2007 Suzuki Vstrom 1000 two months ago with the intention of buying a S10. when I sold the Suzuki the local dealerships could not get me a new 2106 so I fiqured I would be waiting and getting a 2017. They released the 2017 in Canada and I wasn't crazy about the colors and the next day a 2014 came up 5 hours away. Picked the bike up yesterday 2014 with 5200 Km's

Congrats on the new bike.
Also came from a DL1000, you will really like the tenere, especially in that nice team Yamaha blue.
Good thing you got it when you did as I inquired about it as a replacement for my 12, but it was just on its way to its new owner ::025

Second BWCs remark about the DL1000. Good bikes. The tenere is a great bike.

BWC looks like I got lucky. The dealer that had the bike was excellent to deal with. I'm in New Brunswick and would of had to travel 10 hours to get the bike. The delivered the bike to a shop on the Campbelton Quebec border which knocked my drive down to 4.5 hours.

Congrats on the new bike! I am still waiting for my magical ES model to show up on the Autotrader or Kijiji listings. There is one near Windsor that is a 2015 but has over 20,000km on it, wanted $13,500 but didn't sound like a great deal.. I keep searching too!

Congrats! Love the blue.

I too was looking about a month ago at getting a new 16, but my son came across a brand new 13 (131 miles used by owner of dealership for one on-road loop), that was decked out with Akropovic pipe, crash bars, skid plate and Yamaha side panniers and came with full Yammy warranty. Fully dressed for $11K out the door. Couldn't pass it up. Then I get on this site and saw all the goodies everyone has put on and mods they've made so have made a number of mods to mine. Reminds me of my Jeep - all kinds of performance enhancements out there. The last thing I'm debating is going ahead and swapping tires. The Bridgestones stink on anything other than pavement. But hard to justify new tires until I wear this set out.

Congrats again. BTW - good looking dog!

I too came from the VStrom (2002). Love my ST '13!
