Before leaving on the CANAK trip I had A&S Powersports install K60's. They reported the final drive was very hot and that a seal was leaking. There was no sign of oil in my garage or on the rear wheel. (As some of you know I never made it past Lake Tahoe before returning home with medical concerns.) The tires have about 400 miles. Yesterday while talking to ColoRider I noticed fluid on the rear wheel and swingarm. I took pictures and emailed PCP Motorsports service and parts departments. Just got a call from the service department and we made an appointment to take it in for an inspection. They sound very positive about the repair and the warranty. They discussed the inspection would not stop at the first seal and would look at the complete final drive. The down side is they might have it in the shop for 4-5 days? The up side is I have taken myself off motorcycles until... Get to talk with the doctor tonight.

Tim, not aware of your previous medical issues, but I certainly hope that you are taken care of first and that you make a full recovery.

As for your bike, is it possible the seal was damaged during the new tire installation?

Sorry to hear of your medical issue. I do hope it will all be taken care of in short order and you'll be out there piling on the miles again very soon.

Sounds like the bike will be taken care of regardless of whatever is ailing it. Nothing to worry about.

Take care and all the best to you on your return to good health.

Wish I could make Whitehorse but the earliest I will get my Tenere back is the 29th. The final drive seal is leaking and it goes into the shop on the 26th. They plan exploring the final drive. Of course they will have to order the parts.

Regrettably I can't make Whitehorse and Yukon 2012. I am missing a great event and meeting some fine riders.
