Hi all,

The front of the final drive/shaft drive guard dropped-down on me one day (I believe I heard it's only held on with a cable-tie?), and because I was out and about I remove the bolt holding it at the other end and strapped it to the seat to get home. Unfortunately I've mislaid the screw, washers, and more annoyingly, the aluminium spacer so can't fit it back on. Can anyone measure theirs for me please and I guess I'll just find a new bolt from somewhere and stack up a bunch of washers to replace the spacer.

Many thanks in advance.

Neil.

neil,

i can measure in the morning for you, but yes the front narrow section is cable tie only, the back end by wheel is held with 2 bolts, its held on the inside by one of the 4 pumpkin bolts m8x16 and the side narrow bolt with the spacer,

Just use a small zip tie through the hole and cut at the length you need. Then you can match it at the hardware store.

Is that the guard that grabs your pant leg? If so, leave it off. . . . before it dumps you on the ground. And, if it's not the one. . . . . nevermind.

Argh! So basically I don't have any of the fixings (honestly - I'd forgotten there's two bolts!).

Yeah this isn't the one by your ankle - it's the thing that runs along/underside the driveshaft to the rear wheel.
