Well, if you did see my Fiaring stay vs chest thread thread, I have new parts (new front fairing stay and left side panel) from MrCycles.com. BTW, BEST service for all OEM parts. Good prices and excellent customer service. The CR emailed me to let me know that the parts were shipping out and that he has a Tenere as well.
However, that neither here....nor there, for that matter.
In attempting to put the new front fairing stay on, I am at a huge loss. For those that have looked, the frame mount is kind of at a angle (not sure why and would be interested to hear if your is as well). I highly doubt that my 5 mph crash was able to bend the mounting tube AND break the plastic fairing stay. So, I do to put the washers back on, metal clips to hold the washers and nut in place, and throw it on there. Line up the hole and put the bolt in. Tighten the bolt down.....and my bik is lookin at me sideway. WTF?!?!? Take it off, look at the old stay....looks to be the same with the same numbers...remount....still leaning a bit to the left. So much so that I cannot bolt the left side panel to it.
Again, I did break the left side panel, rivet to connect to the blue side cowling, and fairing stay. You actually think I bent metal prior to cracking the stay?
If anyone can look at where the front fairing stay attaches to the frame and let me know if the top looks more center than the bottom, I would appreciate it.
