but in the S10, with individual oxygen sensors, “after” the crossover, it would not make sense….it must have only given more rigidity, which maybe later it did not make sense that is why stopping putting itI've seen it on lots of hotrod exhausts. Makes for better scavenging of the cylinder and less back pressure.
No, it’s not structural, I seem to remember in the dim and distant past that Yamaha removed this link pipe on the Gen 2 and gained another 2bhp . I shall have to look up my old press release notes.Could it really be just a structural spacer without any crossing of the flow? But this is purely a guess on my part

Wouldnt this be food for thought.. Like a Fat Twin and a skinny twin who's bogarting the food?I think it’s a crossover. Why would they weld it all the way around in such a neat fashion. But my guessing is 50/50.
