I’m thinking not. The first Honda ST1100 was 1991 (at least in the US). Older Super Ténéré perhaps?
I didn't search when the first Super Tenere was, so you could be right. Wikipedia said the first ST11 was a '90, so that's why I was askin'. As we get older years tend to run together the further back they are. :D

Yeah, I think Europe got the ST1100 a year model before we did. There was a previous 750cc Super Ténéré that was never sold in the US. Not sure what years it was made.

I "heard" the 11s didn't handle as well as the 12s. I know that the L.E.12 was speed limited to 120mph. Apparently, in the UK there had been some high-speed crashes; 120mph+. They surmised that the high-speed wobble was caused by a message board attached to the back of the bikes. But since they decided to just limit the speed, they didn't find out for sure.

That’s like here where they were using them as police bikes but nobody read the blurb from the company that said, when they’re fitted with panniers, the bike shouldn’t be ridden over 130kph

That's pretty much the standard company line from all the manufacturers. I never noticed any difference in handling with the RT, ST, or Tenere, even into triple digits. The ST was a pita. It got to 120mph so quick and then shut off, only to come back on at 119 and then back off at 120, ad nauseum.

That’s what I recall as well. I think they were labeled as 1990 models though, could be wrong on that. Some countries determine the model year by when the bike was sold rather than how the manufacturer labels it, which is very confusing when there’s a generation change. First gen Ténéré’s labeled as 2014 models because they were sold that year.
