Ran into some issues on my recent cross country trip. Had a dealer in Denver help me out but need to get this sorted. Trying to figure these out before I bring it to dealer locally. There has been no check engine light at all, rough running under load above 4K rpms, poor gas mileage, one hard start (flooded I think), surging idle when hot, bike runs hot constantly in the 205-217 degree range even at 50 degree air temp at 50mph. You can read full issue post http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=16421.45.

I am going off a 2010 Service manual so descriptions may have changed, if so, please correct. I assume "00" means Ok, no error. I am confused when the manual says Fault Code # and then it says meter display #. So it seems my issue with with d13. Having trouble figuring out what is a reading and what is a fault code. When cycling through the diagnostic numbers it reads as "15 | d13".

d1 - TPS - 14-100 when turning throttle closed to wide open. I believe this is normal.
d3 - 101 - At sea level now and think this is normal.
d5 - 86 - Air intake temp - Guess it was 86 degrees in my garage. Normal.
d6 - 82 - Coolant temp - Cold sitting in garage. Normal reading.
d7 - 0 - Don't know what this is.
d8 - 1.1 - Showing in check for upright
d9 - 11.4 - Don't know what this reading is.
d13 - 15 - Throttle Position Sensor Open or Short Circuit Detected - So basically check TPS connection for good connection and recheck code, if gone its done. Where is the TPS connection this is referring to? At the ECU? OR under the tank? Is "15" an actual error code? If so, it says to replace the ECU. Ugh... The ECU that I just got flashed. Or is the "15" just middle of the range of 7-23? Maybe there is no issue recorded here?
d14 - 17 - Seems ok for closed position, didn't check open.
d15 - 16 - Seems ok for closed position, didn't check open.
d16 - 0
d20 - off - Side stand extended, normal
d21 - off
d30 - 00
d31 - 00
d32 - 00
d33 - 00
d36 - 00
d37 - 00
d50 - 00
d51 - 00
d52 - 00
d57 - 00
d60 - 00
d61 - 00
d62 - 0 Was told this was the code history, at dealer in Denver this said 7, then he cleared them and it seems none have returned?
d63 - 0
d70 - 0

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Found this useful when I had a few issues after reshimming the valves, thank you!
I have now got my head round the error codes and to make life easy I have made a summary table with all codes which might be useful to others. I have attached it as a table. Hope it helps others. ::021::

To enter: Ignition off >press |& hold both buttons & turn on ignition and hold buttons for 8 seconds+ > "diAG" appears on display > press both buttons for 2+ secs to go into diagnostic mode
