Does anyone know what these electrical connectors are for? I was looking for a place to connect to a switched power source on a 2014. The threads I have read all concerned pre 2014. I expected to find the same type of three and four prong connectors as on the earlier models but there are no three or four prong connectors on my bike.

There is definitely a thread on at least some of the wires. I don't have a link off-hand and on my mobile which is a pain to do searches on but if you search you can probably find it.

Also, you can use Google to search the site by typing this in the search box (xxxxxx is the term you wish to search on):
site:www.yamahasupertenere.com xxxxxxx
EXAMPLE site:www.yamahasupertenere.com 2014 wiring

*EDIT* Try this one: http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=14280.0

Thank you very much for the information. The three prong connector is supposed to be on all models so I will have to look a little closer and hopefully find it. Also, I'm using the Centec fuse box so it should be easy to hook up. (famous last words)

You are in the right area. Look down further towards the front close to where that white clip is stuck to the plastic piece. Should be in that area.

Heated Grips.

Edit:

What you really want is one of these: http://electricalconnection.com/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=tenere&product_id=158

It will allow you to cleanly tap power without hacking any parts of the bikes wiring. The three prong connector is buried under other wires near the tool kit. Also, if you want to take a step further, use the eastern beaver PC-8 that is designed for the Tenere.
I'm in the process of installing my FZ1 block, and that little connector looks like just the ticket. thanks ::003::

One is for OEM heated grips- it allows you to toggle thru different heat levels on the dash. The other is for aux lights- there is a Yamaha/PIAA kit that's plug and play.
