UPS headquarters are here in Louisville. Huge production and lots of local jobs. Thanks, you guys are putting food on our tables. ::025::
i just talked to the UPS guy, ALL air packages go through KY. They have an automated unmanned system which seperates and ships to final destination. There may be jobs there, but there could be a whole lot more. One way, I am not a huge fan of automation and computers doing everything for us.

The Eagle has landed. I have the Tenere ECU-Heart back in my hands. Now to just get a few minutes to install it back into the bike.

I'm beginning to wonder if they don't ship each week until Friday...

They've had mine since last Friday (at least according to Fed-Ex), and yet I haven't heard a peep from 'em. And again, according to Fed-Ex and the return shipping label tracking number they haven't shipped mine back yet. May just be that they get the ECU's, do the re-flashes all in groups, and then ship each Friday.

So here I wait... ::017::

Good news that you guys have your ECU's back in your hands. So far it looks like any that are sent in do get sent back... eventually. ;)

Yep - They had mine for 3 days. I feel like that is an excellent turn around for a free update.

Thanks ECUnleashed!

Tall Gears,

It would be a treat to ride the gen2 flash for the first time.
It is a real treat to ride the Ohlins setup for the first time.

But it is dang near magical to get to combine both first times. :)

You won't believe it. It's sensory overload. NOTHING feels the same.

Oh, and try hard not to call in sick tomorrow. Friday is coming soon enough.

Oh, and Dallara,

Sucks that yours didn't arrive today, as well. But, before I feel too much of your pain, I realize you can just go hop on that Red Italian SuperModel while you wait a bit longer. Sucks to be you. ;)

Hey, I'm not complaining... But just for the record, the Desmosedici is "pickled" these days, and lives comfortably in my dining room. It no longer gets ridden, but it sure is pretty to look at! O:)

OTOH, I've got the XR1200 to ride when the S-10's down. I'm just having fun watching how and when the ECUnleashed re-flashes arrive. Seems there is little rhyme or reason as to how ECUnleashed does it, and I'm trying to watch to see if there is any pattern. Maybe if we can figure it out it'll give other folks a better idea what to expect when they send theirs in.

It's all good! ::008::

Yeah.. Sensory overload in all directions. Bike is going to be in tip top shape after all this.

I'll post up in the results only thread after I get a chance to ride the bike! ::26::

I got my ECU as promised, and I can report that it was worth the wait ::013:: I took a quick spin and its a significant improvement over Gen 1. Since I have no other S10 to compare it too, my bike is my only experience. Stumbles, vibration, and other issues are something I would have thought are normal for this bike had I not done the flashes. I had nothing to compare it too. So now that I've gotten this second flash I am happy to report that the stumble I realized I had is gone. The vibrations I felt have been greatly reduced and the bike is now much more comfortable to ride. As reported, the last gen flash felt very similar between T and S modes. Now there is a huge difference. In Sport mode the bike really takes off when given throttle. T mode is improved over stock and is a very nice setting for normal cruising. ECUnleashed got this right and although most things can be improved, IMHO this is very close to where I want to be. I'm sure someone can find fault and point out areas in need of improvement. I can live with this for the foreseeable future. If there comes a Gen 3 I will wait for the reviews, but at this point I would encourage those so inclined to either reflash from Gen 1 or just jump into Gen 2. You won't be disappointed. ::015:: ::008::

One more happy customer here ... had mine done by Ed at AF1 Racing. I sent it by 2-day express mail last Friday, he received it Monday and got it back in the mail to me that same day, so I received it back on Wednesday. That's fast!
It does make a significant difference in how the bike feels, the lack of the stumble and flat spot. I notice that my shifting seems smoother, probably just because it's easier to match revs now.

Just a quick question. Did you do the flash on the stock TB settings, or had you adjusted the TB screws/sync'd them prior to the flash?

Thanks,

Gregg

I did the reflash without checking the throttle body sync. What a difference -- to the good. I got a carbmate and checked TBS around 29,000 miles for the first time. It was right on. I did not have to move screw at all. I was amazed (and probably lucky)...

I sent mine out to Synmoto in Richmond BC. Has not come back yet. Mine had to be forwarded to EcUnleashed to be read becasue they had not seen or verified a Canadian ECU. Future Canadian re-flashes should be routine and will be able to be completed by Synmoto.

Thanks, it's good to know, I was worried about them not knowing how to do it properly and I didn't want to pay duties (USA Canadian border) on a new ecu that is already mine. Post your thoughts of the flash, as if I need any more brainwashing!! :)

I now have a little more than 1000 miles on my .v2 flash. Jaxon handled the logistics for me.

My bike has a Leo Vince titanium can, stock headers, stock air filter and 18.5k miles. I was annoyed by the drivability issues off idle and roughness between 2800 and 3500 rpm. I had always wondered how much of that roughness was mechanical harmonics / vibration and how much was fueling.

Post flash, the bike is WAAAAAY more responsive and a great deal smoother in that rough patch. I am guessing that there are some normal harmonics in that area and that is all that remains. Quite smooth now. I used to feel that the engine was coarse yet powerful. Now it feels quite a bit more powerful, especially in 1-3 where the restriction is gone, and has character. It completely changed my feelings about the bike and motor.

The most pleasant surprise was the increase in highway fuel efficiency with the flash. Over last weekend my wife and I rode through the Adirondack mountains Friday through Sunday. We were not dawdling as we constantly had to pass lines of Harleys as they motored along. I would say we generally traveled at 65-75 on the main roads, and ran a spirited pace on the back roads and climbing Whiteface. I also did about 10 miles of dirt. The overall calculated average for the weekend was 51.2 mpg. The computer on the bike displayed an average of 52.8.

It seems that with this mod you do get to have your cake, and eat it too. But what good is cake if you can't eat it???

I would say this is the best bang for the buck mod I have made so far.

Did you guys do any adjustments to the CO settings? IF yes, did you adjust the CO back to stock (0) after the gen2 reflash ?

This is what I told them: I adjusted CO to +6 each cylinder, I believe both were at 0 from factory.

E-mail I got today: "Regarding your "CO +6" which I believe you are referring to a fuel module adjustment.
Be sure to "Zero Out" or completely disconnect it as our flash has modified fuel table already optimized."
