Fine boots. I'm boot shopping now. Hope you leave a review. I had some Gaerne mx boots (no hinge) 10 years ago. Like walking with a plaster cast but great for serios woods riding. So stiff my lab couldn't chew em up. Where did you get them?

I’ll leave a review when I’ve had a fair chance to really use them. First impressions are that they have excellent workmanship and are quite heavy compared to touring boots. Wearing them around the house they are very stiff, hopefully they will soften a bit with use. On and off is easy and quick with two latches and Velcro, no zippers. Sitting on the bike I needed to adjust the shifter pedal up a little to get my toe under it.

I think sizing runs a little smallish. I usually wear EU 45 and I’ve had previous Gaerne boots that size but these initially felt too tight. After a couple adjustments though, I think they will be ok.

I got these from FC Moto in Germany. Even with the $30 shipping to the US, they were about $100 less ($329.00 US) than I could find them anywhere in the US. Also finding them in stock here was a challenge.
