Dumb Givi Trekker 33L Question

I'm looking at getting a pair of 33L Trekker side cases and was wondering if anybody knows if a one piece Roadcrafter will fit inside.

When I'm on the bike I like to stop and go hiking. I want to put the helmet in the V47 top case I already own and jam the Roadcrafter into a side case.

I really don't want to spend the coin on Jesse cases plus I heard that they won't open with a Givi top case installed.

Any other luggage set ups that might work for what I'm looking at?

I have the 33L trekker cases on my S10. I don't have a roadcrafter suit, but I can tell you that the cases offer a surprising amount of space. I was once able to successfully put size 9.5 riding boots, my mesh riding jacket, and my full size XL bike cover in one of the side cases. I think you'll be fine putting the roadcrafter in.

I liked the Jesse cases also, but didn't buy them because my Givi E55 case would have prevented them from opening properly.

cant say for sure but it must. I can put a Roadcrafter jacket and pants in my 9"" 33 L Happy Trail Teton cliff cuts (15" H x 18" x 9" in the upper few inches and 7 1/2" in the lower)

You should really consider the Happy Trails. Search for threads on this site, lots of discussion. Very well built, water proof, attached flip open top loading and that will save you from loosing a lid and give you a place to put stuff when they are open. Currently on sale for the Tenere at Happy Trails - 20% off

http://www.happy-trail.com/Departments/Find-Your-Bike/Yamaha/XT1200Z-Tenere.aspx. I have them. have had them on for 35,000 miles including Prudhoe Bay and back. Great panniers, great racks

Thanks, the Trekker 33L is 16.2 x 20.7 x 9.5" so I think I'll be able to compress the Roadcrafter into the case.
