I used the rigid industries wire harness and powered it to the Yamaha OEM plug (tucked next to the tool bag) I scrapped the switch that came with the kit and used a simple on/off switch thats om the handle bars.

Im using the PIAA Mounts which swivels. I was able to mount to the Alt Rider bar in a few different place.. settled on the current location,

The Dually D2's were to be door for 280. I had to order the PIAA mounts and the extra switch. Looking for the rain to leave to i can get the lights dialed in on the road.

This sold me:

By chance, did you research their 6" Specter LED Light bar? Looks like its a perfect fit for the empty space under the headlights.

I did... but i liked the "look" of them off the sides of the crash bars..... it took me a long time to decide on some lights.. i got caught up in the hype of the other brands which resulted in a lot of $$. In the end, i just wanted some extra lights going to / coming home from work.. and if i happen to end up in the middle of the forest on a around the world adventure ride.. hey i got some lights :) What sealed the deal is when i found them for the $280 price.. how could i go wrong. If i could find a good deal on the rigid light bar i would go for it and mount it under the headlight, just to break up that dead space.

What made the install simple (im a wiring novice.. ) is being able to use the OEM plug near the tool kit. All i had to do is neatly route the cable harness, cut off the positive and negative ends of the supplied harness and solder two wires i bought (see vizi-tec post) with the correct "tips" that i put into the existing Aux Plug.

Howdy,
Been looking at LED's and they look really good on sale at $104 each. I'm thinking of running one flood and one spot, anyone tried this combo with this light or similar types?
Later,
Norm

I have exactly the same setup and love it. There are two different PIAA mounts though. One swivels (74000) and one that has 8 (I think) fixed positions (74116/74117). The one in the link above looks like the one that has fixed positions. The one you used seems to be the one that swivels freely. Correct me if I am wrong - I just don't want anybody ending up with a PIAA bracket that does not work.

http://www.piaa.com/powersports-lamps/ps-brackets.html#universal

shows them both - and Amazon sells the both.

I first wanted to use the one with the fixed position since it seems a little bit more sturdy (and I had them lying around) but just could not get the angles right. The free swiveling ones works great though.
