Drop Protection

Folks was out with mate on his KTM Adv tonight. He had a 2 mph drop and no damage due to crash protection. I know we cqn never protect all areas but suggestions re best under 10-15 mph drops.

I had a 20 to 30 mph drop or crash last week. My altrider crash bars did a job of protecting the left side of the bike. A few scratches on the fairing but able to ride her home. There are a few Co. making crash bars for the S-10 can't say witch one is best but any is better than none. ::001::

Even the oem plastic thing protects pretty well.

Thanks Limey ::012:: I knew I could count on you to back me up. Did you get a picture of the drop I did while we were cleaning off the mud and taking a break at Sidney Lake. I think I was 2 for 2 that ride. ::014:: here is another example of my Altrider bars doing their job. ::26::

Altrider bars tested in 3 no-speed drops on my recent Arctic trip - zero damage, but not particularly environmentally friendly: it broke some rocks when it hit the ground.
