I have my Madstad brackets ordered and am wondering if anyone has used the OEM wind deflectors on their ST ? I'm trying to get a tad bit more wind protection with out additional buffeting. I really don't want to go with a larger windscreen either.
The Tenere is nowhere near as bad as the stock V-Strom, but could be improved upon.

Nice. Worth the money. Easy to install. Seemed like they smooth out the wind more evenly.
As I remember they have a slightly different slotted screw head. I was able to use normal slotted screw driver though.

Thanks Fella's

It's unanimous, I'm ordering today

I think they'll help when the ride to work is in the upper teens-low 20's

Hopefully by the end of next week the panniers, AltRider crash bars/tail plate will be on the bike

Japanese 'Phillips head' screw. I allready cheese one head a bit. I shoulda known better since that's what was on the FJR well nuts. Think I will do a search for one of those screw drivers or just change out the screws for regular metric metal screws.

I made my own for £3.20, cos I'm from Yorkshire. Probably only suitable if your bike is black.
1) template from cardboard.
2) black guttering heated to 160 C and flattened.
3) cut out template.
4) reheat and apply to bike, to bend fixing tabs.
5) when cool drill fixing holes and fix with black nylon bolts.

works for me!

OK you cheap bastard (just kidding) got any pics of those home made deflectors.
