Do American Yamaha Dealers Sell Accessories to Canadians?

I have a 2022 Super Tenere and want to buy the tall YAMAHA windshield. The Canadian YAMAHA website lists the price as $425 and the USA as $185. Converting to Canadian dollars that is $235. I live close to the US, but l bet US dealers will not or are not supposed to sell to Canadians, but wonder if anyone has tried with success?

The 1.5 hour ride would be worth it especially as l would buy a few other parts as well and save even more money.

Please comment.

Thank you,

I have done a lot of international travel and I have never had any retailer ask me where I was from. I would suggest you call the dealer to see if they have the parts you want. Go down pick up the parts needed and put them on your cc Visa is excepted all over the world. Additionally visa will get you the best exchange rate when converted to your home county money.
crossing the border declair what you purchased and there will be no issues, if they asked why you purchased them in USA tell them they are parts not carried in Canada

The only thing like this that I know of is with Harley Davidson. If I want to order a Harley part from a dealer I have to use a friends name, credit card and have it shipped to their house. Harley won't sell to me. The reason is that I'm a shop owner and Harley has me flagged in their system. They're not going to allow me to resale HD parts. Harley flags anyone that buys parts in a large quantity. But ten brake levers and their system wants to know just who you are and why would you need that many levers. They tightened down on the dealers even more a few months ago. A dealer can't ship parts to any customer outside of their selling region. You have to have an address in their region or walk into a dealer to buy parts.

Does this include HD-branded tee shirts, doo rags, and fingerless gloves? You know, a majority of items that most HD dealerships actually sell.

I originally wrote this post as someone that has dealt with PORSCHE making it difficult for Canadians to buy in the US and it is interesting, but not surprising, HD acts similarly. It is great to see YAMAHA believes in free trade between the two countries. Also l hoped someone in SW Ontario would offer their unwanted tall windshield for sale saving me a trip to Michigan.

Thanks for all the comments.
