Is there a quick way to tell the difference between the first and second generation of the Sargent Seat. I'm about to buy a set and want to makes sure I'm not getting old stock.
I tend to agree with this. I have a Mustang on my VZ1600 and it is rock hard (after 7 years) but it is so comfy, the stock seat was a POS, soft for 10 mins then sciatica would kick in. I don't have an issue with the stock S10 seat, yet, but I have only done one 11 hour day so far. I was looking into other seats, but I'll keep reading the reviews here. It might be worthwhile for those with aftermarket seats to quote body weight?TheHelios said:I don't have a Sargent seat but I do have a Corbin and it, too, is as hard as a rock but somehow works well for long distance. Must be the shape but it's super comfy like a bucket seat. And I've gone a couple thousand miles on it and no breaking in. I just think they're meant to be as hard as a rock so it's consistent rather than softening up over the duration of a ride.
