Hi Guys and any Gal's ?,
Yet another newbie, 2014 ES S10 owner in white, was going to wait around till March and a 15 plate but had been watching the market trawling the dealers up and down the UK missing out on a absolute steal of a deal in Sheffield under 10k for a new 14 ES :'(.

Been back and forth to my local dealer at CMC Chesterfield but no joy then found one down south ( London for you guys in the US ;) ) was about to do the deal and was going to ring back and confirm but gave myself 24 hrs extra thinking time when out of the blue CMC rang back with a offer £1100 under what they had been quoting but they were still £400 away so said no and wished the guy a happy Christmas, not 30 seconds later he rang back and told me get my self up to the showroom as he would match the deal from London.

Went with brother as support (plus he's as stubborn as me), got talking saying we wanted a OTR price, all agreed about to sign when the sales man's boss who's giving support to his man says * Ok thats fine OTR plus 6 mths tax* WTF i thought new bike surely it should be 12 mths ( £40 more) and said so, no the boss says its OTR as agreed (he had a point), i looked at my brother and said lets leave it and we made for the exit 8). The Boss said you aren't going to miss out on a good deal over £40 are you ! i said back are you!!
Guess who won ::012::

::004:: from Oklahoma! Good looking bike. White always reminds me of the Police Bikes I used to ride. Love the color!

Welcome. What did you pay for it in the end? And BTW, these days RFL is only six months, used to be 12, as the customer had to pay for that anyway, something about legal parameters of being the first registered keeper.

Welcome to the forum. I love that color combination, but it is not offered in the USA. So, when I bought a 2014 ES, I had it painted and applied the Euro decals before I brought it home.

Welcome from another bloke in Derbyshire ( North Chesterfield). I'm sure you must have some Yorkshire blood in your family ::015::
Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs it seems their are quite a few from Derbyshire on here, alas no Yorkshire blood in me but was born in Sheffield and know the city far better than Derby. Know Chesterfield just as well but Pommy is my village.

Nice deal ::008:: I got mine a couple of years ago with £2.6k off list with a mere 149 miles on the clock ;)

This has to be the best value Adventure bike out there - but only at the end of the year when Yamaha have to clear out everything they have not sold due to their stupid prices, if they knocked a grand off the official price to start with they might sell well all year round ::010::

Thanks for warm wellcome Guy's (Still no Gal's then :( ) especially to the UK owners some are too close for comfort i think :D thought i would be a loner in Derbyshire but it turns out i am 1 of a few at least :).
Only had chance to ride the bike back from the dealers so far 15 miles, but 1st impressions its BIG but once under way that melts away along with the hernia inducing weight. Would have been out for a ride today but guess what the reg plate is out 1 letter so dare not risk it ( :lamp: but may save it for the speed cameras), dealer sending new plate in post , not sure what P.D.I. spells out but maybe Pretty Dam Inefficient :mad:, however he has promised me breakfast when i take it in for 1st service :p.
Again thanks for the comments

Well 1st serious ride out, smooth, cushy, and well planted on the road but its a bugger to keep the revs down for the run in period, was wanting to hold the revs longer in 1/2/3 to find the sweet spot but had to change up, well most of the time ;D. Had to give it a good wash down after i got back, now to fit the rear hugger (Skidmarx) and fender extender ( PowerBronze) which postie delivered while i was out. Can see myself doing some serious miles on *The Great White* S10
