hi all, firstly what a great bike nthe xt is :) Im thinking of de-cating mine 2020 model dyna or k&n filter and getting it mapped, will it be to ride the bike after de-catting until it's mapped? I presume with it being pre cat sensors nothing fueling wise will be affected? many thanks

I’d be concerned about riding it after de-catting until it’s been reflashed. Even with the Co2 sensors being upstream I would think the faster exhaust flow would run it lean. I’m sure someone with much more knowledge will be better able to answer your question.

the Tenere has pre-cat lambda sensors so it should run as normal just breath better as all the fuelling is done before the cat, if it was post cat different story

FWIW. I saw a video on utube by Project Farm on air filter testing. KN flowed well but let more particles through. That’s why they flow more air. Made me take a new BMC reusable filter out and put it on the shelf. OEM is the way to go. No wondering if it’s oiled correctly.
