If someone has an actual size template of theirs or a .dxf file I could waterjet about 50 of them.

has anyone figured out if the '14 is different from the earlier models?
Does one size fit all? Mine is for a 2012, notsure what other years it fits.
I'm getting ready to make more of my dash, I have one made now, and will take it to a shop to see how many, and for how much they can make them...

Look at the outline of the 12 and 13 dash rim it looks the same as the 14.
Now for the holes on the side that may need to be relocated, I would just buy one and match it up if you need to re drill the holes you have a dash, if it does not fit you can re sell it in a blink of an eye.
I just got one of these dash infills for my 12, if my local Yam dealer has a 14 i will take it down and see if it matches.

Just received the aluminum sheet, will work on the drawing this week and cut as soon as production will allow. Not sure how many to make for the first batch though.

I'd be game for a '14+ one. Prefer it raw so I can cut and hack on it then powdercoat it after I butcher it with switches etc.

I will try to find someone this week with a laser cut machine in L.A. to help me build many more of this plates for 2014 model.

Just to avoid any confusion I think it would probably be best for those who are building-selling their dash-infill shelfs start another thread to avoid any confusion ;)
I wont be building any for the 14+ models as I don't own one. Although there are on going discussions with the wife in regards to that, we shall see. :D

Guys I am still waiting on my Mechanist to complete my prototype of the dash infill.
He has to set up the program to laser cut it, that's costing me $85.00 but after it's set the price for a batch will be less for each piece.
What that price will be will be determined on quantity and they will be just bare aluminum with holes for mounting onto the side frame holes for your side deflector wings.
When i get more info on the dash I will update with a price, I will be selling them at cost and shipping charges.
I've got HID ballasts tucked in the side panels on my bike so it sounds like the way these mount might work better on my bike. Are you still still planning on selling these?

I need to get a price after he gets back form vacation.
I haven't seen the one he finished for me yet.
If reasonably priced yes I plan on it.

Just to see what the dash should look like and fit I bought one of BWC's last remaining dash and i have to say he went above and beyond, damn nice fit and well thought out mounting hardware he is top shelf.. ::008::

Have you installed it yet Jeff?

Any clearance issues? Curious due to the lack of space in the middle.
I used the 3 instrument panel version of that instrument display:
http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=14370.msg229133#msg229133

I had to use the voltmeter in the center as the other two instruments are just too large (long) and hit directly against the frame. Even with a 90 degree terminal connector on the USB or DC outlets, you'd still hit the frame. You're either going to need to specifically put the voltmeter in the center or have the panel off-center.

No I haven't got it yet so I hope it's not going to be a problem. I should have the panel in a week or so.

I like this as I don't need another cigarette socket. Were you able to mount it in the dash panel without clearance issues?
Well at this time it hasn't come in yet but as soon as it does I'll post a picture of it mounted. I also don't need the cigarette plug.
