Dash power plug capacity

Has anyone looked at the wire sizes to see if the dash plug circuit could handle a larger fuse, say 8 or 10 amp?

Does anyone know about how many extra watts we have to play with?

5 amps max.!!!! and thats asking for 60% more capacity than the stock 3 amp ... your asking for it pull ~300% more current with the fuse ratings you've mentioned..
PS if you run 5amps and it burns out your wiring loom dont come crying to me about yamaha refusing to honour warrenty.....

I think the prudent thing to do is run a separate buss for anything heated and leave the dash for a GPS, radar detector, etc.
