No, you shouldn't have to remove panels if my memory is correct. It is only 4 bolts with nuts and they should be supplied with the panel. It bolts through the two holes where the winglets are mounted. I um flexed (bowed) mine a bit to fit it in. It did go in that way and it looks flat when it is mounted.
I just went out in the garage and looked. I don't think moving side panels would help.

Depends upon which filler plate you have. Mine is a flat piece that I drilled a hole on either side then drilled a hole in the upper fairing area and placed a wellnut like is used in the windshield mount and it worked perfect.
So i was able to get into place - FYI i dropped the section closest to the key section and wiggled the balance in. Very snug fit know i have to go and see if my local mechanic can get it powder coated for me and have the wholes drilled for the meter. Stay tuned !

350 - i have not had a chance to ride it: we are only allowed to ride starting March 16. I will take it out as soon as I can after that date: FYI when i went to see the finished product at the dealer the bike was started and it sounded perfect to my ears, looking forward to riding will keep you all informed. I have to break it in again !

That’s what I started. Used a piece of flat aluminum 2” x 1/8. Was going to install it under the plastic but may set it on top. Have to go out and look at it again. Probably much easier on top.
Foreplay - mine is an LB Products dash filler I will try and see if putting on top is an option ? Chances are that I will table this project since the riding season opens up in a week and since I lost nearly 2 months late last summer with my engine issues this project can wait.

I live in Canada - Montreal, Quebec to be precise and you have to use winter tires between +/- Dec 6th - March 15 you can ride during that period but you actually have to use winter tires and request some sort of derogation as well.

TGuy - i will fiddle around with the filler plate before deciding what I end up doing.
For know I will get the tires inflated to the proper pressure install the winglets back on and register the bike for the coming season.

I like the on top idea. Makes it easier to remove.
Mine was raw aluminum and I sprayed it with Plastidip. Three coats will do it and you can always peel it off if you want to change it up. I drilled all of my holes then sprayed it.

If you need to change a bulb it surely will. The one he has will have to be removed to change a bulb. Not sure who made the one I have, but I can actually access the back of the headlights with it on.

This isn't the only time that I've been in this situation. Although this was getting worse fast. Soon no tire tracks and going up steep inclines to 10,000'. Wyoming, Colorado...you never know ow what's in store for you.
