Anyone have a medical issue related to their Super T? I finished a 3 week ,5K mile trip in early May, first big ride of the season....Ohio to GP in Austin, then east across Gulf states backroads to SC then home to Ohio....seems I've come down with a pretty good case of Carpal Tunnel in my left hand upon return home. Been fighting with it ever since. Just got a set of Flexx bars to try to see if that helps (15 degree bend opposed to 18 stock). Previous owner had big fluffy foam grip covers on it when I bought it...he said the bike hurt him, but did'nt elaborate...now I'm thinking he was on to something. Anybody else seen this? Maybe the S10 is unrelated to my symptoms but.....just a thought.

I know that the stock bars contribute to the tightness in my shoulder and neck muscles - that stock bend rotates my arms into my sides, forcing my shoulder muscles together.

Hands have felt at various times some CP-like pain, but I can't discount the fact that I'm managing a larger bike and I'm 41 now, so between my day job (on a computer), aging and the bikes, yeah, something is bound to pop up every now and again.

I don't think "it's the bike" per se, but a combination of many factors - only one of which happens to be the bike's ergonomic fit with ME. I too have the Flexx bars and will mount them shortly. Didn't buy mine because of any pain, but rather because I prefer a flatter bend like on my KTM.

Now, suck it up Nancy. Walk it off and be a man about it...which translates to - hit the hot tub after every ride. :)

I have been riding off road bikes all my like, with straighter bars and life to stand when riding.
I was very sore with the stock Tenere bars even after short rides.
I purchased a stock bar from a forum member and carefully bent them out..before installing on bike..and man, what a difference!
a cheap fix!

The stock bars made me ride with elbows in. I purchased bar risers and made myself ride it like a dirt bike with elbows out and no more pain. Once you do this for a while on this bike it turns into the norm.

I had a photo to attach that shows this but it looks like auto resize is now removed. ???

I had carpal tunnel surg. on my right hand and elbow, soon to do the left arm so I know what you speek of. My KLR was pure torture with the stock bars. I swiched to fat bars wich made it better but still the same prob. I then instaled a throttle lock this was my saviour! The KLR had way wierd vibs and any rpm so to just take my hand off for a short time made the differance. I now have the same set up on my s10 but with the stock bars, just alternating hands on long rides seems to work fine.
But then again 5K in 3 weeks is a hell of a ride, my bottom end would have gave out long before that.

I really do believe its the 18 degrees of sweep that contributed to my problem as my KTM bars don't bother me after fairly aggressive woods rides and multiple riding days...I'll mount Flexx bars tomorrow and see how that works out...as far as "sucking it up and hit the hot tub at the end of the day" let's just say there is not many hot tubs enroute where I ride...
