Just curious if D&H Cycles fared out okay during the big storm a few weeks ago. I know many have ordered their bikes from there.

I was just watching a discovery channel special on the storms and cullman, al was the 1st city they focused on.

Sorry if this is a repeat.

I haven't been up there to see them but called a few times. They didn't have any damage at all but did see the tornado a mile or so away when it hit. Seems to be business as usual for them. They only had seen the August delivery info like everyone else but did lose one or two that backed out.

I heard about about D&H Cycles through this forum, so a friend and I went there yesterday (Saturday) to look at the Yamaha FZ6R. It's a great outfit (proprietor and service techs). Fortunately, there was no tornado damage in the immediate area (unlike up here in Huntsville). The proprietor (I'm really bad at remembering names) is very personable and really loves motorcycles - he showed us around his warehouse in a separate building in the back. He has an awesome display of old, never ridden, yamahas and kawasakis. I wish I knew about the place before I placed my Tenere order (now since cancelled) because I would have been inclined to stay the course. My friend will definitely buy his next bike from here (I just bought a BMW 1200GS, so I'm out of the market for awhile).

I would like your thoughts on the new GS you have purchased.
