Hello, There was a time cruise control wouldn't work on mine and it was due to the rear brake switch. Once that was replaced, it worked.
Thanks, I had the brake switch apart and it's all okI think it was because I cleared the codes

The cruise control problem and recall was related to the front brake switch, not the rear switch. The front switch can be carefully disassembled ( small plastic parts) but the problem is not obvious to the naked eye. It needs to be replaced with the latest part number switch.

Mine has the latest switch on already I checked the chassis number on the recalls

I just bought a used 2023 and I’m dealing with this issue. Brake light is on most of the time and Cruise control indicator flashes. I cleaned the brake levers with wd 40 but it didn‘t help. I’m not mechanically inclined so I really need to have a mechanic fix this unless it is a real easy fix and it sounds like you haven’t found a solution. I’m surprised this is an issue on a model that has been out for so many years.

Going back to the first post, I'm wondering if clearing the codes with the ELM created the problem? The error code should disappear from the dash and the CEL should turn off as soon as you correct the error. It probably persists in the ECU's memory for some period but in most case even that will clear after some number of start cycles if the ECU doesn't see the error again. When I accidently swapped a coil connector with the throttle body, I just swapped them back and carried on. No need to clear the code (unless for some reason it persists after the correction) in most cases I think.

Update on cruise, I found the problem a wire had come off the throttle body shut off switch! All I did was remove the "rubber" from around the wiring and re-soldered it on, their soldering was terrible "just held on" so I did both wires, re- sealed with RTV only issue I had was removing the switch, the M3 pin was loctited and sheared off! So I had to drill it out and re-tap it :-( all good and works now :)
