Second ride out today on my 2015 S10 after the winter and Corvid restrictions in the UK.

I used the Cruise on my local motorway and then turned it off for the twisties.

Stopped for a bite and when I switched of a code 90 appeared.

Next time I tried the Cruise it wouldn't engage.

Stopped, restarted the engine and all was good again.

According to my manual the code 90 is:-

I hope that it's the front brake switch as I'm going in for the warranty replacement in a couple of weeks!

May have dropped lucky

I had the same problem with mine. I filed a warranty claim and the dealer said that they ordered it the right break switch.
I gave up after 3 month of weekly follow up and order it online myself.

It took me a while to figure it out, but I could reproduce it after while, by just turning on the bike without starting it.
Use the front break a couple of times and you will see that the break light stays on. That triggered the 90 code on my bike. I replaced the part myself and it works now.

A couple of weeks ago, I got the recall notice from Yamaha.

Once you get used to the cruise control, it is hard to go back.
Good luck.

I phoned my local dealer after getting my recall notice, the dealer told me they would have the part from Yamaha in “3-4 days”. Three weeks on they are still waiting on Yamaha.

It took Chorley Yamaha a couple of weeks to get my new improved brake light / cruise switch sent to me back in January - they were experiencing delays at the ports following Brexit for parts from Yamaha’s central warehouse in the Netherlands, so perhaps this is continuing.

Thanks for your replies.

I'm booked in on 13 April for the warranty claim but made the booking a couple of months ago.

I'll give them a ring before I go to ensure that the part is in stock

Just done about 180 miles on the bike today

Kept trying it and it worked every time

Strange!
