I wasn't about to wait around for Yamaha. The Murphs kit was not too bad at all. I was able to modify the brackets included with the kit to hold the servo body and the cable pull. The only piece I had to custom fabricate was the pod to hold the controller.

Nice looking panel install! ::012::
Here is mine:

I added the red LED to indicate when cruise was locked on. The small button above the CC panel is to scroll the dash readout.

All that messing about for Cruise Control?! - I just use one of these... Works great!

It's a belt off a Caterpillar Tractor!
You just slide it to the left and it keeps the throttle where you twist it to.

Here's the part number... They were something like 10 for $5!!

I've used one of those caterpillar O rings before too, they do work on some bikes as a throttle lock. Some bikes have a throttle return spring this is too stiff for the O ring to hold. Nothing compares to having an electronic cruise control that will maintain a constant speed up and down hill.

Don't confuse the Cat Cock Ring for cruise control. Vast difference between a throttle lock of any design and cruise control that maintains a set speed, despite variations in terrain.

Thanks! Your's too! Nice to have an LED to show "Set". Might have to add that myself.
