Hi all, I have been reading a lot with regards flashing cruise control light or unable to set cruise control, lots of useful info.
I have had an issue with my ABS light coming on, started while on a trip in Europe, just came on randomly and stayed on for the next 1200 miles or so, never going out while pulling away, then it started to go off and maybe 50 miles into a ride would reappear,
Within the last 300 miles cruise also started playing about and dropping out while set,
So today I have found the cause of this, the throttle roll off sensor is faulty , open circuit all the time thus not allowing cruise to set..
My question if any one knows is the information for this micro switch shared into the ABS system, as it would think the rider if putting the throttle into the closed position, would this knock out the ABS ...
Thanks in advance

Update, so after a work around for the roll off throttle switch the cruise control now works normally again.
However 17 miles into test and again the ABS light has come on and won't go back off, it seems if the bike is left overnight it's OK when I start out, so today I got 17 miles the other day 80 miles before the light comes on.
Dealer checked codes and reported only 1 , the front master cylinder sensor in the abs unit, they are saying needs a new abs unit for this fault, anyone found a workaround please, a new unit is over 2k..
Thankyou

The only workaround that I am aware of is deleting the ABS. There was a thread that you may be able to find in the search that shows how to bypass it. I know if my ABS takes a shit, that's what I'm going to do. :)

Check the wheel sensors, which the ABS also uses to know the rotation of the wheels….The front master cylinder sensor????…..I never read anything about that, at least in this solar system, On the front brake , you have the brake pressure sensor, which based on that “pressure”, the rear combinated brake acts…..but it is a sensor, not the ABS unit

Thanks for the reply, not really an option I wanted to take, have you heard of the fault before ???
It seems if the bike is left overnight the next ride the abs light will go out as it should but then come on at some point.
Cheers

Front speed sensor has been replaced along with pick up ring on the hub.
He said its a front cycler pressure sensor within the abs module , the code states replace unit...
Thanks

Code 63 is what they are saying is the fault, no checking procedure, fix is pump replacement

Check #4, #10 and #15…..I don’t see that these sensor are “inside” of abs’s unit

Any idea where they would be then, would you not agree that the diagram shows the calipers and levers master cylinder etc outside of the box, all other items inside, ie in the abs unit ?? Thankyou

Learn to run the diags they are very good. D:07 D:16 will let you spin the wheel and see it increment. I am fighting same issue. FYI the wheels sensors home run to the ABS pump bulkhead connector
The wheel sensors are on front and rear wheel they report pulses to the abs hyd pump assembly. There is a B2 section map that talks about unplugging the meter(display) and seeing if your abs is on or off and mine is still on saying the meter is bad. I dont think so.

I have no speed currentMPH or range all dashes you have same?

I am going to post a question to see if I will cause problems swapping the display bewtween bikes. I dont think it holds any NVS like mileage settings etc. but want to run it by some of these guys first. If you resolve this let us know. The tests are great you can run one that checks all your brake clutch handbrake switches etc. The sensors show as homeruns to the ABS ECU but I cant find how the front gets there I am still looking

Keep us posted!

Hi, yes I have have speed etc no problem, I believe this comes from the rear speed sensor.
Found my issue with the cruise control it was the cancel switch that is on the side of the throttle bodies, activated when you twist the throttle in the wrong direction.
It was open circuit so comma d was set to cancel thus not letting me set the cruise, put a loop in for now and have ordered a new micro switch to fit.
As for the ABS , still the same , was.out Friday, 40 miles down the road the light came back on and stayed on for the rest of the day, if the bike is left overnight the light goes out to start with but then comes on after some miles.
Dealer only found 1 code, front brake master cylinder pressure sensor, which is embedded within the abs pump.
Still looking at options but looking like I will need to replace the unit,
Hope you find your solution

my display verified good

did u run the tests? you can play with all switches as you test them if you suspect rear when light comes on pull over run tests takes a minute or 2
i think TenereGuy wrote up a nice how to get in diags there is a list of tests but 07 is rear pickup i think you reseated the abs hyd plug electronics when intermittent suck and when hot high resistance isses

good luck plz keep us posted
