I actually called my dealer and it just so happened that he was opening the box and he said he had 2 ordered at different times, so the rest of Ohios would have to be close. He did not give any idea of when he would have the bike ready. got my insurance quote at 361 with this bike and a dirt bike through Geico.

I think I will set the racks up, and put a sticker on one. I've got people asking me if I've seen them riding around town (jakeboy), they know I ordered one long ago, and in jest tell me they think it's an online dream... :'(

Yea, work has been a bear. I worked eight 24 hour shifts over a nine day period.
Just a quick shout out for our friend Phil. I attended his promotion ceremony to Captain this afternoon and I will say without a doubt that I would ride with this guy anywhere. Ex Marine, fireman, paramedic, family man (not only the very cute baby girl but a son head off to college on a full scholarship) wonderful wife and a lot of people in the Fire Department and the City of Folsom that think a lot of our guy. I call him our guy because he has a Tenere. Heck they even mentioned his Adventure riding in the ceremony.

Congratulations Phil on your promotion and we will probably both be getting our bikes on the 4th. Nice to meet you and look forward to a ride.

Ulysses,

I see you installed the Denali 2's on your bike. I'm strongly considering them, but I have only seen video of the Denali 1s. I don't have the best night vision, so I would appreciate your feedback on the amount of light you are getting out of them at night. Did you set them up as the driving lights or fog lights? Would you recommend them?

Brad
Hi , sorry for my delayed response, but I had to ride at night to answer your questions.

First, I am setup as running lights. Also, I have the lights synced with my high/low beams. You could run only on high beam as low beam runs at 40%. These aren't HID lights, but overall I think they work very well. I had two goals, improving night vision and making me more visible.

Hign beam showed the greatest benefit. It puts out a very white light and a lot of it. It brightens things up nicely.

On low beam the additional light is less dramatic, but still helpful. Especially for extending the light down road and improving sign visibility.

These aren't HID lights, but I think they work very well especially for using only 10 watts.

I did attach some rather poor pictures, but I hope they will help show the difference. My camera wasn't up to the task really (or maybe the photographer)

Hope that helps.

Looks great! Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures. I went ahead and ordered them this morning anyway, I can now see that they do make quite a difference.

Thanks!
