No, just two black keys. Rides slow and smooth during break in mode. Nothing to report yet, but I plan to test it.Kevhunts said:Did your bike come with a red key & imobilizer system?

Sportrider, how does it feel compared to the 950SM?sportrider said:No, just two black keys
I rode my 950sm up to test ride the S10 in June. The S10 is smoother, heavier and more refined. I loved the ride and thought I may sell the sm when the s10 comes in. Coming off the S10 and back to the 950sm for the ride home I realize the sm is a houligan that feels lighter, turns quicker, begs for wheelies and has no wind protection. I plan to keep the sm for hot weather playing locally and use the s10 for longer rides. S10 handles better than I expected it to, feels very light once underway, love the 6th gear OD, love the comfy seating and leg room, bike is smooth. I am not disapointed to replace my 05 fjr with the s10, but I did notice a little heat coming from the left side radiator. May not be an issue, but I did feel the heat coming back at my leg.SpeedStar said:Sportrider, how does it feel compared to the 950SM?
And we using Roseville 10 minutes up the road got phone calls 7 hours ago telling us the 15th! LMAO! I guess we'll be getting calls tomorrow!? What a riot. Something about the left hand not telling the right comes to mind.S10Dano said:Mine's sititing in Capitol Yams shop!!..Vin#50. They have a corporate tech assiting with the setups. 4 of them. Being a bit of a mechanic myself and having run a few shops for my resident state. I decided to leave them alone and let them have fun learning the new machine with mfg support and do it without me hovering. As MUCH I want to !!. My time comes 10 am Sat
HALAFREAKINULA !!!!!
Well Heck, that is encouraging. My dealer called back and revised his original date from August 4 or 5 to, "around the 15th - 17th." We'll see because parts called back 2 hours later to tell me me parts were in. Those weren't supposed to be here until the end of August.S10Dano said:Mine's sititing in Capitol Yams shop!!..Vin#50. I plan on going to my dealer Saturday when I get off work to try and get a better idea. In the grand scheme of it, it is really no big deal. I just want it as soon as it is ready. I do hate California and its bureaucracy though. California only bikes due to emissions and enough red tape to sink an aircraft carrier.
I'm not so sure this is the dealers doing.. I'm thinking it's the PDP lineup.. when did you order yours ? Mine was 11-23-10 Anywayl when you do get it we.. as in us local boys will have to go for a ride.Don in Lodi said:And we using Roseville 10 minutes up the road got phone calls 7 hours ago telling us the 15th! PDP March 28. I think that through this thread we've pretty much seen that the PDP thing is out the window. The only places it's showing up now are at the dealer level. Five bikes in? Earliest PDP gets his done first. 30 bikes like Tony has got coming! WOW! Earliest PDP first again. Mine will be the last built in Roseville, but that doesn't mean it stays in the warehouse waiting on a timer to tick away, they're all out there, now. The dealers just don't seem to know it till they show up at their back gate. They're going by the last paperwork they got, thus our phone calls today. Mine will be built, what, three days after the first one? Same day even, if they're not busy. We can't ever say this wasn't exciting, can we, LOL.S10Dano said:I'm not so sure this is the dealers doing.. I'm thinking it's the PDP lineup.. when did you order yours ? My PDP didn't go thru until January 4th. I don't mind the waiting, as long as the dealer can give me a firm time-line. I'm 200 miles round-trip from the dealer, and A) need to arrange a ride up; B) need to schedule a day off of work; and C) need to get a sales contract to my Credit Union and pick up the cashiers check. The dealer changing dates frequently is not making things any easier for me. I hope the bike sits in the back of the shop unmolested while I work out A, B and C. Maybe Don and Phil can make sure its hidden away safely when they pick theirs up.Don in Lodi said:PDP March 28. I always check the ODO on a new bike before I accept delivery. Anything under a couple of miles is fine with me. If it has more than that, I'll ask. So far, I've never had a problem.dastard said:So a shop monkey on advrider was talking about a test ride and trying to wheelie the bike. Ive never bought a new bike so dont know what the standard is. 0 miles on the odo? Is a shop monkey test ride standard? I assume if I ask to be the first to ride it, that is a reasonable request?
WOW!, Thanks for the offer Phil! I'll definitely keep you in mind.Firefight911 said:I'll be happy to take that duty on!!! Oh, and when you are ready, just say the word!!!!
