Forgot about this one, very nice, really enjoy it.

Roy, you could probably do Imogene with the Anakee IIs, but you would have to take care, probably go slower. The DR650 would do fine, MX bikes love that place, but I got the feeling they were locals and knew the bad areas to avoid. I really like the Anakees also, but the K60 is nice if only needed for the 200 miles of hard stuff, shame to wear them out on the road.

I just wanna say thank you! As luck would have it, I was headed that way this coming Friday with some friends on a 3 day outing.
Slight adjustments to an already thin plan has us riding this on Friday afternoon! Thanks again!
Have fun!

Here's a sample! In the canyon, probably only ten miles of the sixty. Lots more fun awaits! ::008::

Just be cognizant of the speed trap on top of Wolf Creek, the speed limit drops to 45mph for NO REASON just as the road goes into 4 lanes with a nice center lane to give you the illusion of speedier speeds....buddy got clipped there last year

There's a book that I would whole-hardheartedly recommend: 'The Complete Guide to Motorcycling Colorado'. This is an exceptional book!
::026::

I got this book a few weeks back and highly recommend it.

Guys, thanks for all of your helpful responses and information ::026::

I am sorry I took so long to respond. I have been out of pocket since posting this thread last week and now getting back to it and trying to get this trip planned!

Lots of great info here already. A couple of my faves not mentioned so far:

CO-14 from Walden to Ft Collins (or you can cut off to Rist Canyon Rd as you approach Ft Collins)

CO-65 to CO-92 from I-70 exit #49 to US-50 near Sapinero

From Laramie to Baggs WY on WY-130, WY-230 and WY-70

I'll add a second (or third) attaboy for CO-141 through Gateway, and don't miss the museum there. Also for the Beartooth (WY and MT-212 from Cooke City to Red Lodge) and the Chief Joseph WY-296 from WY-120 to WY-212) and Bighorns (WY-14 and 14A from Lovell to Dayton). The Beartooth, Chief Joseph and Bighorns are all MUST RIDE roads.
