I recently replaced the shock on my Super Tenere at 34,000 miles...what a difference...should have done it many miles ago...
Afterwards, I received a lead on another shock, but am no longer in need of one, so I am passing this info on so someone else can take advantage of a good deal.
If anyone is interested, please contact Todd at Cogent for more details. Below is all the info I have...some lucky ST rider will have a very Merry Christmas!

A used Cogent Super Tenere shock that needs a home. The history is that it was built in 2017. Owner had it a few months and subsequently sold his bike. He kept the shock thinking we could convert it for a different bike which of course couldn’t be done, so we took it in trade against a new shock for his new bike. We rebuilt it to make sure it’s “new” inside and it got stuck on a shelf. It’s in nice shape, full warranty, spring shows a few powder coat chips. $500 with the spring that’s on it (900lb) or $560 if we need to respring it for your weight or cosmetic reasons. Let me know if you’re interested.

Cogent are very good people to deal with. On a recently purchased DR650 with Cogent shock I wanted to upgrade the forks with Cogent DDC's and springs. In talking to Todd, I was on the borderline for either .48 kg springs or .52 springs. They sent me both sets and said to try them out and then send back the set that I didn't want. How can you beat that?

I have to second that opinion, I bought some suspension parts for my wife’s FZ07 and Todd included several extra parts and basically said the same thing, send back what I didn’t use. Todd himself is an incredibly nice guy and very knowledgeable about suspension and all his products, I would highly recommend using his parts if you have the option.

Merry Xmas everyone, and have a great new year

You can't go wrong with Cogent. I have the first Super Tenere suspension they did. It's been on since 2012 never a bit of trouble.
