Anybody been doing this yet in CO? Not technically legal till July or August. I talked to a couple Boulder cops where I live and they all said I would likely not be pulled over for it now. I have probably done it 25 plus times in the last few weeks. Only had one car toot the horn. No angry motorist interaction at all and I adhere to the strict way the law says to do it. I have even had a couple cars see me creeping up and adjust there position to allow me more room. So nice to just pull away from the front every time. Ain't tried it down in the Big D yet. That could be a different experience. I like pulling up next to big pickup trucks, folding in my mirror then creep just beyond their giant mirror then repositioning mine back into place.

The only time I trust the other drivers is when they're bumper to bumper at a red light. I've had cars move to the right and try to block me when I'm on the shoulder turning right. (legal here)

Lane filtering here very specific. Traffic must be stopped, must be 2 lanes and you can't do it on the side with a lane restriction (solid white I think). The way I understand it is up the middle between stopped cars and less than 15 MPH. I only do it at a crawl pace , move into position with my front tire slightly ahead of the cars. Then at the ready when the light turns green and pull away instantly accelerating to the speed limit. If its to tight up front I will find a space in the middle. If there is no room I just sit tight. Also have to asses when the light is going to change I dont want to be creeping up with the light is gonna change

Yep, I have been filtering every time I get a chance. I have had zero negative interactions with drivers. In downtown Denver, I have encountered lots of instances where I couldn't squeeze my ST between traffic to get all they way to the front, but that's been the only issue. up in Boulder County, it's been much easier to filter.

It's safer than sitting at the back of the line, waiting to get crushed from behind..........
Absolutely. I was referring to those drivers that don't like you doing it. They don't care if it's legal, they're jealous. I read somewhere, years ago that being rearended at a light was the #2 cause of motorcycle crashes. (people turning left in front of them being #1)
