Cleaning anodized wheels?

If anyone can advise on their experience of cleaning the anodized wheels on their S10 I'd really appreciate it.

The dealer left me in no doubt that I needed to be super careful about avoiding anything abrasive but I was taking a lot of other info at the same time.

I'm not planning to keep the bike looking 'as new' but would be good to have it like this for a little while longer. At least until the commuting and touring kicks in.

I don't have those beautiful blue wheels, but I just use this car wash on my black ones with a multifiber rag. It even cleans dirt off of my Jeep soft top.

I clean everything with “window cleaning liquid”…..everything….but, the liquid has to be the best. There are many on the market, but only the good ones will work fine. And when I say everything, it is everything… Engine, tires, seats, dashboard, synthetic leather seats, glass, kitchen counter, kitchen furniture, telephone, glasses, skis, washing machine, kitchen, porcelain floors, etc, etc. ……if the product is the best….the result is excellent…..

Once cleaned a little bit of resin polish on them makes it easier next time.

Confirm it is anodized. The blue wheels I saw on an FJ appeared to be E Coated

that said the previous reccomendations should work well either way

I just got new wheels and had them ceramic coated for $150

Simple green and a microfiber towel works great on aluminum wheels. You can find green liquid in a bottle at the auto parts store that says "wheel cleaner" on it and it smells just like simple green.
