Going to hell on scholarship
Almost 1300 miles and 5 days later, I'm back from the a trip down south, mostly to the area around Deals Gap in TN/NC but hit some roads all the way down to Georgia. Took non-interstate roads all the way home except for about 20 miles. The Tenere was great on the trip...comfortable for the long trip (though the Sargent seat is lacking in long term comfort) and fun in the twisties. I did a fair amount of peg scraping...surprisingly the stock tires really did a nice job. I may have just over an 1/8" chicken strips on the front/back so I was getting over pretty far. I hit biblical rain on the way down through KY, so much so that cars were pulling off. I kept on at 55 and sliced right through. My Yamaha side cases nor my Givi trunk never leaked a drop and neither did my DSBP Raid toolbox.
