Hi everybody, new member here. Just bought a nicely kitted-out 2013 to replace my old r1200r. That bike blew a clutch seal between Ely and Tonopah, but she got me home. The Achilles heel of the boxer—you have to split the bike in two to service the clutch—well that’s not happening soon! Already had a nice 80 mile romp on the S10 and loving the ride.

Welcome, from Texas. I had an 1150RT. I was on my 4th clutch. BMW puts a 2-year warranty on a replacement clutch. Because if it's not installed just right, it eats itself. I've never had to replace a Yamaha clutch.

Welcome from Central Texas. I had a 2011 R1200R and that bike was bullet proof. My more recent RT was a different story.
