Don't mean to degrade quality Chinese engineering, buy why are we replacing the stock levers may I ask? I don't mean to always say aftermarket is bad, as that is not necessarily true, but I go out and pull in the clutch, pull in the front brake lever, and every time I do it, the obvious occurs. Some advantage to be gained by replacing stock with quality Chinese upgrades? Maybe color of lever? I'll paint my stock levers pink if that is what makes aftermarket levers the choice if that is the reason of the upgrade and retain quality.
For me personally it was more about changing the brake lever to a short one, as I ride with two fingers over the lever and with the stock lever I would have to extend the other fingers over the lever to brake, with the short ones I can just brake with the two fingers and still have a grip on the bar with the other two.

I started changing mine way back in 2007 or 2008 when I rode a friends FJR that had them. He has hands similar in size etc as mine. I loved the feel the reach... I knew I had to have some. I still have that set of Pazzo levers. I since bought some the www.twowheel.com units for my 1999 SV650 and really like the short levers on that bike too. No problems on either bike... One high dollar and one inexpensive!

Because the All around Generic stock levers are way to far out to reach, I have had the Chines levers on three bikes now and they plane work for next to nothing they are tapered inward more than stock can be tuned on the fly with one hand.
Why companies have not installed these on the OEM bikes long ago is beyond me.
I like the short levers.
Yes some have had dud levers Some Gixxer Suzuki riders have had issues on the break lever, one guy crashed his Gixxer front breaks locked up after they heated up from break drag..

If you can't feel, and smell after a a while, dragging brakes, well before they lock up, there's something wrong with you. Bad levers are not the only thing that can cause brakes to bind, wet weather, salt and being left for a couple of weeks can cause the same thing (experience!).

I like the short levers as well. Not as big a deal on the Tenere with the hand guards but the OEM levers tend to break/bend easily on a fall whereas some of the quality aftermarket levers are typically more durable. If you think Pazzos are expensive, check out ASV levers. Also, if you are interested in Pazzo levers, PJ's Parts is an excellent source. I've been on some rides with him and his wife and they are both great people and avid riders. Support small business! ::024::

More adjustment for me, I've struggled to get either lever in just the right position. Swap out the levers an 'voila', lever perfection !

If I knew Ron's address, I'd ship him a set.

I've had fun with his farkleidis for years now. And he is always a good sport with my ribbing.
Nothing would make me happier than for ME to be the reason he made an ergo-change on his Tenere. lol

I will second PJ's parts. Great people. I have said many times his service is so good, I wish I could buy everything from him. Bike parts, vegetables, faucets, underwear....

True!
But I have long fingers and big hands, I just like having the levers within a quick reach the Shorter levers have In my opinion better feedback with the bike.
Like chopping down your dirt bike levers.
